		The name 'Pefki' simply means pine trees, the village is nestled amongst pine trees and was originally a fishing village with a small harbour. However nowadays, it is a very popular holiday destination with an abundance of busy hotels, beautiful sandy beaches and soft shingle coves. The village has managed to keep its quaint friendly atmosphere, offering the perfect mix of bars,cafes, supermarket and souvenir shops and some of the best eateries on the island, traditional tavernas serving authentic cuisine and excellent restaurants.
